Hello, you've reached Ema Skye! Sorry, I can't come to the phone right now but leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can! Have a nice day.
Hey, Ema? It's Apollo. [He and the detective weren't really close even when she was around his age, but he figures he should check in on her since they did get separated on the first day.]
Did you get a chance to talk to Mr. Wright and the others yet?
And I'd believe it. People fall down and hit their heads all the time. I know I have, but we should still check it, make sure you don't have a concussion. But hey, gimme a boost and we'll get out of here.
[ It actually takes five times of Merlin picking up and putting down his CereVice to maybe call Ema first because he can't think of how to start a conversation. Phones were never a thing for him, and the idea of not just going to see someone and to ask like this first is even more bizarre. No one would get anything done in his time if you went sending letters with messages to ask if you could meet instead of just going to the other person's place instead.
It's when he picks it up for the sixth time that he gives up, jamming it into his pocket with his card and access to the apartment then he's off out the door. The fact that all the apartments are in the same place makes it much easier when it comes to visiting someone. In the end it only takes around ten minutes to get there.
The only problem is that instead of hesitating in front of a piece of technology, he's not hesitating in front of the door. He presses both hands in front of his mouth, trying to think of the best reason for this visit. He knows why, of course. Just to talk. Get to know each other better. It's just hard to think of a social visit as alright when he's only really had to visit Gwen or Morgana when they were in danger or with a message from Arthur.
aka. He's a hot mess of nerves.
It's why instead of knocking normally, his head just drops forward to crash into the door. ]
[ It's only been a day or two since things had gone a little crazy and they'd been trapped in the dark side of the city--where ever that was. He's also aware at this point that he has 0 credits, though thankfully it's easily fixed by going in to poker deal for a night or to work for some unknown native at a party.
It's easy for him to get extra credits as needed... it doesn't mean he's happy about the extra work.
It's while doing that though that he remembers he and Ema never kept that promise, so he sends her a short text to first check how she is, but then to also ask her something. ]
How are you doing? I was thinking it might be time for dinner soon. Did you find out where the best places to go are yet? :)
