Hello, you've reached Ema Skye! Sorry, I can't come to the phone right now but leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can! Have a nice day.
[ Too wild........ How has she not blown herself up with an experiment yet?! ]
I'm not going to fall ov-- [ Ah, spoke too soon as he trips on the ledge on the way out. Normally it's emptier when he's travelling around as he needs less people around to navigate himself properly. ]
[ Well it's true that it isn't that bad. It could definitely be worse. His hand flails slightly as he tries to keep his balance, thankfully her pulling him along helps. He just notices the sign when she yells that out. ]
Wait--
[ THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE HERE--is what he wants to yell. Instead he makes a slightly panicked noise as she zooms off into the crowd and there's no way he can win this. He tries to slide in between people but it's really just a Mess. ]
[ To be honest he probably looks like he got into a fight on the way here (he didn't, but he definitely ended up span around as he tried to avoid people) ]
...I'm not exactly sure if that's the word I'd use.
[ Don't judge him for not being used to the crazy amount of people here, Ema... Camelot is fairly busy but this is a lot worse. Plus, there are people here with tails that smack you in the legs. ]
Ready. More than ready. [ He reaches for the door and opens it. ] After you.
I've only really been to cafes. [ He says once he's seated and ... looking at the menu he has no idea what he's going to pick. There's a lot he wouldn't normally even dream of having. ]
[ Mister Wright... are you lying to young girls about what you're drinking???
His head definitely tilts when she mentions "medium rare" though, because... it's pretty much cooked as it is in his time. ] There are different versions of it?
I trust you. [ He says it with a smile, with complete honesty. She could tell him to eat sludge at this point and he'd very likely do it -- especially for the right reasons.
That would be a bit gross though, let's be real here. ]
So I'm sure I will. How have you been since... everything, anyway? Not dining out like this all the time, I'm sure.
[And Ema is a pure lady! Not a drop of gross there!]
Oh. I've been alright I guess. Busy getting back into the swing of things, but not too busy. I took some time off from the fingerprinting job, so I'm only doing part time work and school for a few weeks. At least until the new batch of people comes I guess. Scientifically speaking, the evidence points to that being fairly soon.
Do you normally go around taking fingerprints from everyone then? [ The big question is why they're needed but... there you go. ] I didn't realise there was a pattern to when new people arrived, either.
Well, that's why I'm taking notes myself. And the police still only arrest people who do bad things. CERES has our prints and can track us other ways, I'm sure.
[She's pretty unconcerned really.]
Oh, and I guess that may be because you're new. I mean, it's not like it's a big deal. But there will probably be people coming in soon.
...You're probably right about that. [ Then again he's still getting to grips with having a police force. He's used to the knights handling everything. ]
How soon is soon?
[ How long before he has to worry about things going haywire... ]

Which way?
no subject
See. Careful.
[She points to the left and starts off, tugging him by the hand!]
See that big glowing sign that says "Marmaduke's Fine Pasta and Steakery?" That's where we're going.
[It's a pretty big sign, purple, and a bit more subdued than most of the places around here. No wonder Edgeworth liked it so much!]
Race you!

You...okay? Dude, did that make you nervous?

Ready?

I had a reservation for Skye. A table for two.
[At that, the robot nods animatedly and leads them to a table, seating them and putting menus in front of them.]
Now. Order whatever you want. Just tell the server when he arrives, if nobody's taken you to a place like this yet.
[There aren't prices on the menus, either. It's all the same price: Swaggy]
no subject
What are you getting?
[ Swaggity swag swag, Ema... ]
no subject
[Well, she turns her menu around and points to the filet mignon.]
This is what I'm getting, it's not the biggest cut, but it's a nice one.
no subject
[ She did mention it was pretty good here before, too. Or at least the style was good. ]
no subject
[Since wine was right out for her.]
But you get whatever you want.
no subject
[ He really doesn't drink alcohol that often anyway, Ema. Don't worry. ]
I'm really not that fussy.
no subject
[She doesn't care. You think Mister Wright really drinks "grape juice" ?
Ema will put in the order for them both when the robot comes by...except...]
You've never had steak before. So, let's say...medium rare.
no subject
His head definitely tilts when she mentions "medium rare" though, because... it's pretty much cooked as it is in his time. ] There are different versions of it?
no subject
[MORE BLOODY YEAH!]
no subject
And juicy is good, I suppose? [ It's nice to hear her talk about this though, mostly because newer cuisine is a mystery to him. ]
no subject
[Ema totally is all about the juice. And the blood! Actual cannibal...]
It's where a lot of the flavor is, anyway. Trust me, you'll like it.
no subject

no subject
And you didn't? I mean, it's every month or so. Give or take a few days. But you did just show up.
no subject
[ Well... from what he's read about police. He also doesn't know if they're alien based or if people like them runs it. ]
No one really mentioned it.
no subject
[She's pretty unconcerned really.]
